Shana - Practice Director
Hi, I am Shana, and I am the Practice Director here at Sletten Orthodontics. I have been in the dental field for nearly three decades and have worn many hats over the years. I started out as a dental assistant, and then I moved into the administrative part of dentistry and worked as a financial coordinator, treatment coordinator, and lastly practice management. Along with my many years’ experience in dentistry, I also have a BS in Marketing and a BS in Organizational Administration. I have worked in general dentistry most of my career but also in other specialties and I have to say that I love working in Orthodontics the most because it is such a positive, upbeat environment where we are changing lives daily by giving people confident smiles! The Sletten Team is one of the best teams I have ever worked with, and everyone makes coming to work so much fun!
My husband and best friend Dave and I are native Minnesotans, and together we have a blended family of six kids – Jourdain, Amber, Jake, Jadon, Jazmin, and Jaidyn. We have two fur babies – our Maine Coon brothers Mystique "Tiki" and Cozmo. We love to travel, camp (“glamping”), attend concerts, garden, cook, bake, and play games. Our large family keeps us busy and hopping all the time, but we would not want it any other way!
Allissa - Concierge
Hi! I'm Allissa. I am one of the Concierges and the Marketing Coordinator here at Sletten Orthodontics. I started my career here in April of 2022, and I haven't looked back since. The staff here is amazing at what they do. I'm in awe of what we can do for our patients and their smiles. The progression we see in each patient is truly a work of art. In my opinion, nothing makes someone feel more confident than a great smile, and we help people achieve those perfect smiles. Not only are we great at what we do, but we are one big family, and the atmosphere here is just one of the many perks of working with the Sletten Ortho staff.
When I am not at work, I can usually be found chasing my kiddos around. I have a son, Cooper and a daughter, Harper who keep me crazy busy. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, going to sporting events, trips to the cabin, taking my kids to the zoo, spending time with our dogs, Jax & Maggie, and pretty much anything that involves being outdoors! I am also a die-hard MN sports fan. GO WILD & GO TWINS!!!
Bridget – Registered Dental Hygienist & Treatment Coordinator
Hi, my name is Bridget, and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I bring more than 25 years of experience in the dental field to Sletten Orthodontics. I started as dental assistant and continued on with my education to become a hygienist. I have been with Dr. Sletten since 2007 as a Treatment Coordinator in our Stillwater location. I feel blessed to be part of an amazingly talented, warmhearted team. Our team fully believes that a healthy bite is key to long-term dental health and stability, and what a bonus to create beautiful smiles for our patients on their journey to health.
When I am not with my family at Sletten Orthodontics, I can be found in St. Mary's Point with Matt, my husband of 23 years; my boys, T.J. and Keegan; and our dog, Radar. In my free time, I enjoy being a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department, working out, camping, playing softball, reading, and most importantly, chasing my boys to their activities. Oh, and the O'Brien's love cheering for the Minnesota Wild!
Hannah - Orthodontic Assistant
Hi, I'm Hannah. I am an Orthodontic Assistant. I enjoy being a part of each patient's treatment experience. It's amazing seeing the changes and progress in each smile. My favorite part of my job is witnessing the bright, infectious smiles the day patients get their braces off.
In my free time you can find me cruising around town in my '77 dodge or hitting the lake to fish, swim & surf. I love weekends at the cabin dirt biking & snowmobiling or just relaxing with my family and friends at home around the bonfire.
Kali – Orthodontic Assistant
Hi, I’m Kali! I grew up in the Great Plains of North Dakota. I’ve been an orthodontic assistant since 2009 and have worked for Dr. Sletten since March 2012. I enjoy coming to such a fun, upbeat office and my team feels like a family to me. I love what I do! I enjoy working with our patients; getting to know them, seeing the wonderful transformations and results achieved by Dr. Sletten. Seeing our patients leave more confident and happier is such a rewarding experience.
Outside of work, My husband and I love to spend days with family and friends, riding our Harleys and getting to the lake in Wisconsin on the weekends. We have a mini-goldendoodle named Benny that goes everywhere with us, even to work with my husband and in the doggy backpack going for a motorcycle ride.
Jennifer - Orthodontic Assistant
Hi, I’m Jennifer. I have been in orthodontics since 2003 and I am lucky enough to be working alongside Dr. Sletten and the rest of our amazing team! I love what I do and seeing the progress in our patients smiles each time they walk through the door. Working in this profession is so rewarding!
When I am not working, I enjoy working out, reading, and spending time with my husband, Blake, and our 5 boys. Together we spend a lot of time watching our boys participate in sports and out on our lake fishing, swimming, and using our Jet ski!
Spencer - Orthodontic Assistant
Hey there, I am Spencer. I am a spunky & sporty Licensed Dental Assistant at Sletten Orthodontics. I am so proud & honored to be a part of this wonderful A- team. I found my love of Dental Assisting a little later as a second career and never looked back. Prior to working at Sletten Orthodontics, I was a LDA in Edina at a general dental clinic for the past 2 years. My love for dental really stems for my love of people. Transforming someone’s smile can change the way they look & feel about themselves. I enjoy helping people live their best & truest lives (even through teeth).
I am a true MN girl who loves all things outdoor, especially if it involves my Jeep Wrangler. I love cuddling up with my latest mystery thriller book, a cup of cowboy coffee & be in awe of this beautiful planet. When I am not globe-trotting with my boyfriend, you can find me cuddled up with my Persian kitties, Elle Woods & Jean Grey, most likely watching some reality TV show or planning DIY projects. SKOL VIKES!
Kristen - Orthodontic Assistant
Hi, I'm Kristen and I am an Orthodontic Assistant. I have been a dental assistant since 2012. I love coming to work every day and being a part of such an awesome team! I enjoy working with patients and being able to play a part in creating healthy beautiful smiles.
Outside of the office, you can find me spending time with my family; Sean and our two girls Jade and Autumn. We like being outside, visiting with friends, bike rides on our Harley, and keeping busy with our girls' sports and activities.
